Mindfulness is being in a state of awareness of the present moment without any judgment. In this fast-paced world, it can be challenging to be mindful and present when we are all busy with work and personal life. The majority have a never-ending to-do list and are trying to get everything done, not realizing they forget to be present and enjoy this very moment. Which, in turn, makes them feel tired, overwhelmed, stressed, with no mental clarity. Some people are just going through their life without really living their life.

WAYS TO PRACTICE MINDFULNESS
Be aware of this moment: Be mindful of everything you do throughout the day whether you are eating, walking, exercising, etc. Instead of multi-tasking, try your best to work on one task at a time. By having your awareness in one task, it will be more enjoyable and you will find more joy in all that you do.

Be aware of how your body feels: Your body might become tense during the day without you even realizing it. Be mindful of how your body feels and how you are breathing. If you notice your body is tense, get back in tune with your body, breathe deeply and calm your body down. Being aware of how your body feels will center you and you will feel more at peace.

Be grateful for this very moment: This very moment is all you have. Be grateful to be alive and appreciate all the blessings that you currently have in your life. Some people tend to just see what they lack or what is missing in their life. Which makes them feel like they need more in life to feel satisfied and fulfilled. But when you are mindful and grateful for all that you currently have right now, you will see that you have more than enough to be content with your life.

Don’t worry about the past or the future: Although this can be hard at times… don’t worry or be anxious about the past or future because in reality, they don’t exist. The only moment that exists is right now, the future is only the continuation of this present moment. In the end, the present is all that ever exists. I will like to share with you one of my favorite quotes about life…

“Men will sacrifice their health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices his money to recuperate his health. Then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present. The result being that he does not live in the present or the future. He lives as he is never going to die. And then dies haven’t never really lived.” ~Dalai Lama

Reading this quote always brings me back to my senses and reminds me of what is truly important in life. Which is to enjoy the present moment, never take your health for granted, and never worry or be anxious about the future.

If you make practicing mindfulness your priority and you start implementing it every day, you will notice an increase in your happiness and a decrease in your anxiety and stress. Although being mindful is not easy to do all the time, it’s definitely impossible! So when you realize you are worrying about the past or future, just bring yourself back to this moment. Once you practice it every day for an extended period of time, it will become a part of you and you will see how your life starts to change

hope seeing the benefits of mindfulness and how you can practice it, inspires you to start living in the present moment. Practice being mindful today with your loved ones and just enjoy every moment of your precious life.

I hope you have a wonderful and joyous day!
