In front of a computer eight hours a days for five days a week can take its toll on your office health. Everyone is having more coffee more than they should. If you’re spending most of your day in an office, you need to be concerned of your office health.

Here are few tips on office health


Exercise before you go to work. Go for a walk. Try doing some stretches in the office. Just stretch while sitting on your chair.

Keep Your Hands Clean

The phone, the computer keyboard, the door handles, people’s hands. Germs are everywhere, so you have to wash your hands frequently. Clean your desk often.

Eat Healthy Breakfast

Fruits for breakfast will give you the energy. Fruits like oranges, grapefruit, grapes, watermelon, and apples can help keep you healthy and hydrated. May of us prefer a sandwich and coffee as it makes us feel full but better, avoid it.

Drink Sufficient Water 

Eight to 10 glasses every day can help keep you hydrated. Bring a 16 ounce bottle of water to work and try to finish it by lunch. Fill up again and try to finish it up by 4:00 pm.

Cup of Coffee

One cup of coffee is not too bad, if you need it to boost your focus. It’s important to avoid sugar and limit your coffee intake to one per day.

Cut out sugary snacks and candies

They can be tasty, but they don’t satisfy your true hunger and are digested quickly. Therefore bring snacks such as baby carrots, cheese sticks, nuts, hummus, cucumber slices, whole or sliced fresh fruit, small amounts of dried fruit.

Bring your own lunch

Because meals in the cafeteria often include large portions and high-calorie choices. You can eat healthier and spend much less money if you prepare your own lunch.

It makes you stay awake while working and you may like their taste. But they are full of empty calories in the form of sugar and of no use to you health at the office.

Take Breaks

Eight hours a day, staring at a computer takes its toll on the eyes, neck, back, and head. So, take short breaks between tasks, turn the brightness down on your computer, sit up straight, use eye drops, and shift positions occasionally.

Stand up and stretch often

Spend 30 minutes a day standing at your desk it’ll boost your energy. If your office doesn’t have any place where you can probably standing up and then just literally make sure you’re physically standing up and stretching at least once an hour.

Give Your Hands a Break

furthermore give you hand a rest by stretching them out or taking a second to relax them in your lap.

Just because you’re at work all day, doesn’t mean you can’t stay slim and fit. You need to implement some simple lifestyle and work habit changes.
