If you’ve left your acne alone, treated them right and let them blossom across your face for as long as they pleased, sometimes they still leave ugly marks and dark spots to annoy you in the months to come.
Luckily, nature has some great remedies. The following home remedies for acne scars are inexpensive, simple and easy to use and often more effective than commercial products.
Remedy 1:
People often use harsh products to treat acne and acne scars, but what can be much more efficient are some gentle, soothing home remedies. For acne scars, this is a great combination because it gently exfoliates the damaged skin, encourages the new skin cell growth, regenerates the skin and nourishes it.
Ingredients:
- ½ teaspoon kaolin clay
- 1 teaspoon rice flour
- 2 – 3 teaspoons coconut milk
Instructions:
Mix the kaolin clay and rice flour. Add just enough coconut milk to form a thin, runny paste. Apply to a wet face, rub and exfoliate your skin for a couple of minutes, then rinse off well.
Remedy 2:
To apply oil to a skin that is already oily? Absolutely yes, but with some caution. Coconut oil can clog pores in some people, so test it on a small patch of your face first. If your skin doesn’t break out, thank your lucky star and use this treatment daily – coconut oil might be the best thing that has ever happened to your skin!
This nourishing combination can completely transform your skin. It has strong antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. It also provides your skin with lots of moisture and nutrients, regenerates it and keeps it clear and youthful.
Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons coconut oil
- 2 – 3 drops tea tree oil
Instructions:
Melt the coconut oil. Try not to warm it up more than you have to. Remove from the heat and add the tea tree oil. Mix and apply to a clean face every night, a couple of hours before going to sleep. No need to wash it off. Just massage it into your skin, especially the areas with acne scars and dark spots. Then just leave it for your skin to soak in until the morning.
